Modern Foreign Languages

The intent of the Modern Foreign Language department is to enable students to develop all four skills necessary to become a successful linguist. This enables them to use French or Spanish in their future; whether that be in a career or whilst travelling.

We are passionate about broadening students’ horizons and preparing them for higher education and the world of work through a positive learning experience of both the language itself and the cultures behind the language. We seek to ensure that all our students acquire both the knowledge and cultural capital which they are both entitled to and need to succeed.
