Welcome
Glebelands is a maintained, non-selective school for students aged 11-16. We are a vibrant, friendly and dynamic school with high expectations and ambitions for every student.
Glebelands students thrive in our environment; creatively, individually and academically and staff reinforce the values of leadership, kindness and independence. Our motto, ‘Respect and Achieve,’ ensures students are empowered to become active citizens and learners. Students consistently make excellent progress and achieve highly. This is a result of high-quality, dedicated teaching and hard work from all within our community.
However, we believe school is about much more than GCSE results. We are rightfully proud of the supportive and caring pastoral system that complements the wealth of learning and extracurricular activities provided by committed staff. Our common goal is to help our students grow and develop into successful young adults, with a pride in their school, and in themselves.
As a school we are not obsessed with reflecting on past glories or the latest headline grabbing news, but an active desire to find each student’s individual talent and help them surpass their personal best; developing our academic culture and the ethos of inclusivity, resilience and confidence, we are a school that is forward-thinking, visionary and continually striving for excellence.
Every day is open day at Glebelands and visitors are welcome.
