Glebelands School was very proud to hold its annual Year 11 Dinner Dance at the Surrey Hills Hotel on Friday 20th June 2014. It was an amazing day starting with the Leavers’ Assembly and the sun remained with us so the students could really arrive in style. The students showed imagination and arrived in every possible mode of transport. There was a selection of beautiful classic cars, outrageously expensive sports cars, vintage British VW camper vans as well as two fire engines. We even had one being pushed on a push car!

The students really were a credit to the school and their parents and looked very smart with the ladies in a beautiful array of dresses and floor length evening gowns. The boys were equally dapper in their black tie dinner jackets, with some students customising the dress code in a variety of different coloured dinner jackets and fancy shoes. I am pleased to say we had two boys that donned a kilt and looked marvellous too! Head of Achievement at Glebelands, Mr Hepburn, said "It makes me so proud to see such an amazing group of young people looking so fabulous and upholding the high standards of a Glebelands Dinner Dance. They had a fantastic evening of celebration. There is only one class of 2014, living by the motto YOGO! (You Only Glebe Once) and we look forward to celebrating their GCSE results with them in August.”
