Glebelands School saw many delighted students collecting their GCSE results on Thursday 23rd August. Almost 70% achieved five or more A*-C grades and a quarter of the year group achieved five or more A/A* grades with some outstanding individual performances. Headteacher Anne Hutchinson said: ‘Many students have done extremely well and are rightly celebrating their achievements. We were aware that this would be a tough year given the potential for stricter marking by the exam boards. This was a fantastic year group – especially in terms of their overall contribution to the school community. We know that they will go on to do great things and wish them all the very best for the future. I would also like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all the staff for their hard work and to the parents and Governors for their support and encouragement.’
