Focus on having fun at Glebelands

African drumming and street dance were among the activities as students at Glebelands School enjoyed a spring focus day.

The drumming was part of a global experience session for Year 9 pupils, in which they beat the rhythms of Tanzania on djembe drums, experienced a physical and entertaining dance workshop from Uganda and heard and retold South African stories.  Year 7 students visited the INTECH Museum in Hampshire and Year 8 pupils got to grips with a seven-foot Burmese python as part of a Zoo Lab experience and tried new languages.

Half of Year 10 took part in the Bradford Business Game, while the other half enjoyed a cultural experience, including Chinese cookery lessons.
