Record broken at Glebelands

A brief shower during an otherwise very warm day failed to deter students at Glebelands School from enjoying sports day.

Activities this year included traditional athletics events, volleyball, tug of war and the outdoor arena, which consisted of pursuits that involved throwing, jumping and running.  As it was also an inter-form competition, each tutor group had a representative in the various activities.

"There was an excellent atmosphere and the students were superb," said Rob Whistler, Head of Physical Education.

He highlighted the notable performance of one of the Year 7's girls, who broke the school 300-metre record by running the race in just 52 seconds.
