Year 8 students were invited to attend a Drama workshop in the run-up to the end of the summer term.

It was led by Year 12 drama and performing arts students from Godalming College and was based around the sixth formers’ recent musical production, The Laramie Project.

The Glebelands students were led through a series of exercises that explored the issues of prejudice and bullying, which were highlighted in the play.

"The students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate with older drama enthusiasts who led the workshop with confidence and enthusiasm," said Glebelands head of drama, Hannah McGill.

The workshop culminated with the Year 8's involvement in the Year 12 performance as members of the jury and reporters at a crime scene.

The whole of Glebelands' Year 8 was invited to watch the stunning musical, which had been written by the Godalming College students themselves, and saw their fellow Glebelands students in the minor roles.

Mrs McGill, thanked the staff and students at Godalming for 'providing such an enjoyable experience for all involved'.
