The first Federation Masterchef competition took place on Wednesday 29th June, with two Year 9 students representing Rodborough, Broadwater and Glebelands Schools.  The students had to cook and present a three course meal suitable to serve to the dignitaries at the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics.  Amongst the recipes made were Welsh leek soup, mango and mustard cress salad, scotch salmon wellington, chicken satay skewers with spiced noodles, raspberry pavlova and key lime pie.

The competition was judged by Stephanie Benson, Head of Food at GodalmingCollege, Jill Gidman, Operations Manager for Caterlink and Simon Cornwell, former Head Boy of Glebelands and local businessman. The competition was won by Rodborough with an exciting and well executed menu. Glebelands were delighted to host the first competition and look forward to this becoming a long running and anticipated part of the school calendar.
