Hard work leads to excellent results

Students at Glebelands School were celebrating on Thursday 25th August, as they collected their GCSE results.

Nearly two-thirds of the year group achieved five or more A* to C grades, including English and maths, and there were some outstanding individual performances at all levels, with more than a quarter of the group achieving five or more A and A* grades.

Headteacher Anne Hutchinson said: "The students are rightly celebrating today as their achievements have required a lot of hard work and they deserve their success.  I am particularly pleased with our average GCSE score, which continues to improve year-on-year," she said.

"I would also like to say a big 'thank you' to all the staff for their hard work and to the parents and governors for their support and encouragement."
