Pupils focus on variety of cultures

A look at Chinese culture was just one of the activities for the students during Glebelands School's latest Focus Day, held before the end of term.

Half of the Year 7 students had a very creative day looking at carnival countries, while the other half took part in an egg drop science challenge.

An ICT/science skills day searching through space for extra-terrestrial life was the theme for all Year 8 students.

Some of the Year 9 students were involved in an army problem-solving and teamwork challenge, while there was a trip to the Natural History Museum for the rest of the year group.

Another trip for some of the Year 10 students was to the British Museum, where the students looked at all aspects of British culture.

The remaining students in that year group enjoyed learning about the Chinese culture, including ribbon dancing, Chinese food and martial arts.
