Press Release – Glebelands School: GCSE Results 2017

Glebelands School had a fantastic morning as students celebrated their GCSE achievements. More students than ever achieved a strong pass (new grade 5) in English and Maths and there were some stunning individual performances with 11% of students achieving top grades across all subjects. These results will place Glebelands well above National in terms of GCSE performance.

Headteacher Anne Hutchinson said ‘We are thrilled with the outstanding success of our students and it is well deserved as they worked so hard. It is the fifth year in a row that the results have improved and this demonstrates that Glebelands continues to provide high quality education to the young people in Cranleigh and the wider area, and more importantly that our students feel challenged and supported to achieve their very best.’

She added ‘Staff have worked unbelievably hard as a team and their tremendous commitment has made the difference for so many of our students. We are both delighted and hugely proud of them. The Governors and I would like to thank students, staff and parents for a great year and wish our class of 2017 all the very best for the future.’
